1 wise woman on chartreuse.

(refinery28.com)

Chartreuse is no longer just the final ingredient of that train wreck of a shot "3 wise man on acid", (recipe: combine a third each of Jim, Jack and Johnny in a shot glass then add a yucky little dribble of chartreuse). It's the colour du jour, making a sickly yellow splash at fashion week shows worldwide.

On my recent trip to Auckland, already intoxicated by my internet trawls searching for chartreuse amongst the general zeitgeist, I kept spotting it in the Spring scenery all up the North island - its the colour of new leaves and the very brightest highlights in the green grass, soo beautiful! I was enthralled. The willows all with their new tiny leaves looked like someone had chosen a fluoro chartreuse in paint and "airbrush"-tooled all over the landscape.

Now I'm on the lookout for chartreuse spring dresses to match the spring colour scheme outside.
