Something about my new abode is so satisfyingly Wellington compared to my old digs.
But is it just because its generally shittier than "Cool"-ville st? because WELLINGTON to me really is shitty flats, mildew smell, slumming it cos you're a poor student etc. Colville always seemed just a bit too homely. Uncomfortably so. Or was it my flat mates? God knows they were all nearing (/past) 30 so really gave the place that established, good-job air... Because they had good jobs.
It just seems like I can smell the city from here... or is it the mildew.... even though I'm actually in the middle of the big patch of wildernessy bush/valley amazingness that is the depths of the Aro Valley. Even my sister heard a birdcall she didn't know - and she actually has custom made wine glasses with kingfishers on them. Just call me Jabberwocky cos I'm living in the Wabe baby. I'm gyring, I'm gimbling.
Maybe its because my brother used to live four houses down and the Halloween party I went to there was so impressive and cool and WELLINGTONny to me as a fresh young second year... dressed as a playboy bunny of course.... I was living on Wallace St so Aro Valley was real Wellington, almost KELburn!! When I walk past their old flat I can still smell vividly the five shot GnTs he was serving JL and I to make sure we didn't leave and the CK1 he was spraying on us. Wild!
Maybe its because I'm cold? cos thats WELLINGTON. (*closes window*). Which garbage bag is my lecky blanket in dammit??

Or maybe its because Im presently travelling the (wellworn) road to drunksville. Mmmm: ruby red grapefruit absolut + schweppes soda water with a twist. I dunno what to call that variation on a Skinny Bitch but damn she's a goodun.
