Threesome

A nostalgic walk towards Newtown (even accompanied by a Sounds of 2009 playlist: Bob Marley, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Pendulum), resulted in the following photos of interest:

Firstly, the interesting, hidden state of our healthcare system - its street-front boasts peppermint striped "maori cloak themed" rectangular blocks, but its backside (yes, its bum) says this:

In case you're wondering, it houses the Whanau room. poor whanau.

Secondly, this adorable house

 Something about its pretty muted colours really charmed me. But then this colour combo is an old favourite of mine -

Ahh, summer.

Thirdly the new stairway up from Drummond st to Tassy street. Its CEPTED (crime prevention through environmental design) and proud. So wide and well lit. And the houses are just adorable... with their own little paths up to them coming off the big grand staircase. Especially enchanting was the one who boasted this special little view of the sea through the wooden stairs beside it. cute! Nothing better than a view of the water, really emphasises Welli's placement around the harbour, and the ampitheatre of hills that allows these little views from houses way up in a suburb.
